Welcome to De Anza College and to COMM 1 (Public Speaking – CRN: 45501) – 3Y – S24. This class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. in L43.
I look forward to meeting and working with you during this quarter.
COMM 1 – 3Y – S24 - This is a HYBRID (meets on-campus and online) class from April 8, 2024, to June 28, 2024.
The textbook entitled “The Public Speaking Project: The Virtual Text” is free and contained in the Canvas Module section.
The following statement appears on the De Anza College website:
COMM 1.03Y: HYBRID, meets on-campus and online. This class meets each week on campus
and online as noted in the class listing. Students must have access to a computer,
the internet and an individual email address. Most De Anza classes will use the Canvas
course management system. We recommend a laptop or desktop computer to successfully
complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and
tests. Information about Canvas and Online Education Orientation can be found in Canvas
